Basha throw blankets/quilts are entirely artisan-made, with layers of recycled saris stitched in straight, even rows. Each throw features a stunning combination of colors and patterns, and every piece is signed by the artisan who created it. Whether draped over your sofa as a decorative accent or wrapped around you on a chilly morning, these blankets offer both beauty and comfort.

Each blanket measures approximately 1 meter by 2 meters (39 inches by 78 inches) and is crafted using six layers of recycled sari cloth. This traditional Bangladeshi stitching technique which is known as kantha.

Our standard throws are handmade by our artisans, requiring around 18 hours to complete. 

Each purchase is supporting dignified work for women and brighter futures for their children. We provide a professional and safe work environment, competitive wages, and on sight daycare along with other social supports through our non profit, Friends of Basha.
